UK's Largest Dedicated Display Equipment Recycler

Latest automation and robotics processing Display Equipment

Using the latest automation and robotics areera de-manufacture all equipment without the use of shredding ensuring part harvesting for reuse, clean fractions for recycling and CRM recovery.

Largest collector in Wales for Cooling and Display Equipment

areera are the largest collector of Cooling Equipment (fridges) in Wales collecting over 5,000 units per month for final recovery at the UK's fridge recycling plants. Display Equipment (TV's and monitors) are collected daily throughout Wales from council Household Waste Recycling Centres and Businesses using a modern fleet of petrol hybrid vehicles.

Parts Harvesting

New models of televisions and electrical equipment are received for recycling with parts harvested for repair and reuse. Circuit boards from new televisions, power adapters, stands, speaker assemblies, remote controls and spares from consumer electronics including SODIMM RAM modules are all tested and listed for resale, see the Parts Harvesting section on our website.

Robotics

Robotics for extraction of mercury lamps from TV's

Robotics are used for the automated safe removal of mercury lamps contained in LCD televisions ensuring the rest of the television is kept whole for removal of circuit boards, copper, ferrous and non ferrous metals.

Environment Agency and National Resource Wales permitted AATF

areera operate three Autorised Approved Treatment Facilities (AATF's) across the UK with sites located in Wales and Yorkshire processing the UK's televisions and electrical waste.

Vision technology automated robotics for disassembly

Our latest robotics use vision technology to scan and identify screws for removal without damaging the components removed.

Daily collections throughout the UK of all Display Equipment

areera operate an extensive fleet of vehicles across the UK collecting daily from Household Waste Recycling Centres and businesses.

WEEE Plastics recycling

Using the latest market-leading x-ray technology, we can separate hazardous plastics containing Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs). The first system in Europe with zero water and zero contamination resulting in increased recycling levels of electrical waste plastics

Display equipment recycling

Our specialist robots recycle flat panel televisions and monitors containing hazards such as arsenic, mercury, lead and other heavy metals safely removing them within an enclosed environment.

AI-powered screen extraction

Our intelligent robots learn as they work talking to other machines over the internet for Machine Learning. Carrying out 3D scans of all screens processed capturing the weight, size and type of every screen recycled. Our outputs are then clean homogenous fractions enabling high quality raw materials to be produced for the circular economy.

Next level x-ray separation

Along with our robots we also use the latest x-ray technology to separate Bromine plastics containing Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), a dry process using no water reducing contamination and increasing the standards and levels of processing of WEEE plastics, a digital accurate solution.
